  Scrapbooking pictures were just as popular around 100 years ago as collectible pictures for soccer championships were in the 1980s.

  While the trading cards are stuck as stickers in albums, the glossy pictures have only a simple paper back. Adhesive is therefore always necessary to attach them.

  The glossy pictures are also often used for scrapbooking.

  The glossy pictures are printed in a special process, the color lithography. Painted images are usually used as motifs. These are broken down into their individual colors. When printing using stone plates, the motif is thus reassembled from up to 25 colors.

  In addition, elevations are often punched into the motifs to give them a 3D effect.

  The glossy images are usually arranged coherently as sheets. The various images are thus held together small paper joints. For use, the motifs must therefore be separated manually.

  To give the images a special value, they are sometimes sprinkled with mica in silver and gold. The glitter and mica provides a special effect. Typical motifs in romantic style are oriented to the holidays and Christmas and Easter, tell fairy tales or depict animals and plants.
